Questions to Ask your Interviewer

Some people may feel they should NOT ask questions at the Interview. Why Not? You want to find out if this job is a good fit for YOUR requirements. This is your opportunity to turn the tables on the Interviewers and Interview THEM. They may be tired of asking questions and would like to avail or the opportunity of answering instead.
What to Ask?
Questions about
- the job that may not have appeared in the Job Specification.
- training or further training.
- the Company's Expansion plans, recent awards, newspaper articles, personnel, publications.
If you have really researched the company this will be obvious from your questions. Remember most Interviewers love to talk about themselves, the job, the company and its future plans. In the case of a Family business you could ask about the history and foundation of the company.
You may know the answers already but so what? This question and answer session will put you in the driving seat and showcase your research and intelligence. It will indicate your interest in the job and the company. It will give you an opportunity to relax a little and take the pressure off. It’s not all about you – it’s all about them.
Never Ever ask about Holidays, Pay, Business Hours or Unions.
When you get a Job Offer all this information will be supplied. It is up to you then to accept or reject the Terms and Conditions.
